Here are the links to the You Tube videos of Sarah and Samuel zip lining yesterday. You may have to copy and paste to get them to work. Let me know if you have trouble. I am still getting the hang of this blogging thing, but I did finally get the pictures to go where they belong. The videos are short but you get a pretty good idea of the scene. We each rode 8 times. The longest ride was 240’ (3X the length of the one in our backyard). One of the last rides was waaay up above a gorge. That’s the one that ends on the platform where the picture of us safety hooked to the tree was taken.
Not much new to report today. We planned to go to Ventana Beach, about 8 miles south of here, to swim and see some caves. But the road had washed out from last night’s heavy rain (picture).
We headed to another nearby beach, Playa Tortuga (Turtle) but after a long drive through a crocodile habitat we were disappointed again, as this beach was not a pleasant place, and looked dangerous to boot.
We returned to Hermosa Beach, our favorite, and let the kids play in the water
and in the little stream that flows down from the mountain to the sea. They made a lean-to
while I strolled around. I found a whole fish
but it wasn’t very fresh. We did some marketing instead and came home to rest up for tomorrow’s trip to San Isidro. We are ready for some big city sights after a week in the hinterlands.
More tomorrow. We’ve got 9 followers but only 3 ever post messages. Hmmm………..
SAMUEL------------------ go man go on zipline
ReplyDeleteThat zipline is a pretty good ride if it's three times longer than yours. Glad you all made it safely and Sarah's right foot made it, too.
ReplyDeleteThat is some "road?" in the top picture. Looks like you'd need a Hummer to negotiate it.
I have a feeling it's gonna be hard for all of you to get back to reality at 701. It's a real, true vacation.
Have a great day in San Isidro.

ReplyDeleteIs it really necessary to use the stupid captchas and press 47 keys to enter a post on this site?
ReplyDeleteThat could be one reason that you don't have more folks posting.
