Well the computer news is not good. Took it to the owner of a computer school here who worked on it for about 3 hours. He worked for Microsoft in San Jose for many years. He would not take any money but said the problem is not with the keyboard but with the interface, and cannot be fixed without a complete reinstall of Windows, which might work.

Since we must have the computer daily for work and communication, it looks like we will be buying a new laptop on our trip to San Jose tomorrow. He gave us a good place to go there and even some models and prices to go by.

So I am again using the onscreen keyboard. Very annoying! The broken one is still typing on its own and changing case indiscriminately, while I use this one.

We hope to be able to post on the new one tomorrow night with pictures from the drive to SJ.
